17-Year-Old Charged in Liquor Store Burglary

A 17-year-old boy accused of stealing liquor from a Norwich liquor store was arrested early Monday morning.

Police responded to Kenny P’s II Liquor Store, at 469 Hamilton Avenue in Norwich, at 12:01 a.m. because the alarm went off and noticed that a burglar had forced his way inside, police said.

Police set up a perimeter, brought in a Norwich Police K-9 Team and found the teen.

Police said they recovered liquor stolen from the store and charged the teen with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal mischief and possession of alcohol by a minor,

He released to his parents and issued a summons to appear in the Superior Court of Juvenile Matters.
