18 Dogs Surrendered After Inhumane Conditions Found at Home

Police responded to the home on Chicopee Road Wednesday after reports of the conditions of the animals living there

Ten adult dogs and eight puppies have been surrendered to an animal shelter after officials found them living in a home with inhumane conditions in Buxton, Maine.

Police responded to the home on Chicopee Road Wednesday after reports of the conditions of the animals living there, according to necn affiliate WCSH.

They report that the poor conditions came from the number of dogs living at the home and that none of the dogs were spayed or neutered, leading to continued breeding.

The owner surrendered 18 of the dogs. No charges were filed.
