Two accused Cape Cod heroin traffickers have been arrested, according to police.

Yarmouth police say 34-year-old John M. Benevides of Hyannis and 26-year-old Ashley M. Carr of Falmouth were arrested Thursday night during a traffic stop on outstanding warrants.

After they were arrested, officers got a search warrant for Benevides' home, where they found at least 41 grams of suspected heroin, prescription bills and more than $2,000 in cash.

Benevides and Carr have both been charged with heroin trafficking, conspiracy to violate drug laws and drug possession.

It's unclear if they have attorneys.
