2 Arrested After Heroin, Fake Money Found During Traffic Stop

The trooper ended up searching the vehicle and allegedly found heroin and fake money

Maine State Police arrested two people on drug charges after a traffic stop for speeding on Route 9.

On Monday, troopers did a speed detail in Aurora. A trooper pulled over Karyn Sawick, 34, from Robinson, for speeding. The trooper ended up searching the vehicle and allegedly found heroin and fake money. Troopers arrested Sawick and her passenger, Chad Robinson, 29, of Charlotte.

Sawick was charged with possession of scheduled drugs, heroin, and aggravated forgery for the $240 of counterfeit money. Robinson had an outstanding warrant for unpaid fines and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to Hancock County Jail.
