2 Dogs Found Abandoned; 1 Euthanized

The dogs were located near the Pond Street Recreational Complex

Officials in Norfolk, Massachusetts, say two dogs were found abandoned Tuesday morning, one of which had to be euthanized for extensive injuries.

The dogs were located near the Pond Street Recreational Complex, according to the Norfolk Animal Control and Shelter. The first dog, a black and brown King Charles Cavalier, was rescued at 12:15 a.m.

The second dog, a black Cocker Spaniel, was rescued at 7:30 a.m.

Officials say the Cavalier had extensive fractures on his hips and was humanely put to rest. They say the Cocker Spaniel is doing well.
