Teen Killed in Shooting at Music Studio; Suspects Flee

Police say the shooting occurred at Da Block Studios on Fore Street in the Old Port just before midnight Monday

Police say two people were shot at a downtown Portland, Maine, hip-hop recording studio overnight.

Police say the shooting occurred at Da Block Studios on Fore Street in the Old Port just before midnight Monday.

The victims were taken to Maine Medical Center. Police told WCSH that Treyjohn Arsenault, 19, of Scarborough, died as a result of the shooting. His friends said he played music and rapped. A recording session was reportedly happening at the studio at the time of the shooting, with seven to 11 people in the 

A second person, a 20-year-old man, is still hospitalized with serious injuries suffered in the shooting. His name has not been released, but he is expected to make a full recovery

After 10 hours, police finally took down tape and opened up Market Street.

Police say suspects were seen fleeing up Market Street toward Milk Street, but no descriptions were immediately released. They said they believe the victims and their assailants knew each other, but wouldn't say if the suspects have been identified.
