3 Stabbed After Dog Owner Kicked Out of Store

Three people were stabbed Wednesday night, allegedly because the suspect wanted to bring his dog into a store.

Boston Police say Familia Grocery on Grove Street in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood was robbed around 9:30 p.m.

The owner said earlier in the evening that he told the suspect to take his pitbull outside the store.

The man came back to the store and allegedly started a fight with a knife.

Another person was inside the store and helped the owner subdued the suspect until police arrived. All three participants were taken to separate hospitals.

The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Kristofer Soderberg of West Roxbury. He remains in the hospital with stab wounds. He was arraigned at his hospital bed Wednesday October 8.

The owner suffered a stab wound to the arm, but has been released from the hospital.
"I don't think he did anything wrong... You should have to be stabbed because you don't want a dog in your store," his neice said.

Police say they believe Soderberg was drunk during the time of the attack. He is being held on bail for $10 thousand. He will appear in court again on November 18.
