Two people, including a pregnant woman, were injured after a car slammed into a utility pole in Lowell, Massachusetts Sunday night.
The crash happened just before midnight on Gorham Street at the end of the Lowell Connector.
Police say the driver was a 30-year-old man from Lowell and the passenger was a 32-year-old woman who is 7-months pregnant.
The two victims were conscious and alert when they were taken to Lowell General Hospital.
Both victims are still in the hospital as of Monday morning. Officials say the woman is in serious-but-stable condition and the unborn baby is in good health.
Witnesses told police they saw the vehicle operating erratically before skidding and crashing. The crash remains under investigation.
The utility company replaced the pole overnight.
