Officials say one resident and one firefighter were taken to a hospital after an overnight fire tore through a multi-family home in Cranston, Rhode Island,
The blaze started at about 2 a.m. on Friday. Flames could be seen pouring from windows and roof of the building at the height of the fire.
One resident was treated for burns and a firefighter was injured after a portion of a ceiling fell on him.
The Red Cross is helping several residents who escaped the flames but were left homeless.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
