2 Johnson & Wales Students Accused of Rape

The victims reportedly met the suspects at a club in Providence

Two male students at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island are accused of raping two female students.

WJAR-TV reports that Mohammed Alsaqer and Yazeed Alasiri were arraigned on sexual assault charges on Tuesday. The alleged victims were also students at Johnson & Wales in Providence.

One of the victims told police that she and a friend went to a club in Providence on Thursday night, where they met three men, including one they knew from school. They eventually left and accompanied the men to an apartment in Pawtucket.

One victim said Alsaqer took her into a bathroom and sexually assaulted her. She said she was also sexually assaulted by at least two other men.

The other victim said she was sexually assaulted by Alasiri.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and other suspects could still be charged.
