2 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash

Police in Essex, Vermont, say two people were killed and another was injured in a crash Monday morning.

Police in Essex, Vermont, say two people were killed and another was injured in a two-car crash Monday morning.

The accident happened on Vermont 289 around 7 a.m. Police say a Toyota Camery operated by Pearl Farley, 78, of Colchester, was traveling east on I-289. She crossed the centerline and collided with a Mercury Mariner, operated by Neil Mckee, 55, of Cambridge.

Both were killed in the collision.

James Mckee, 28, was the passenger in the Mariner and was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say roads in the area have been slick all morning and are advising drivers to use caution. None of the occupants involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
