2 Men Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Police in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, believe alcohol is to blame after they say the bike struck a utility pole Tuesday.

Two men were killed Tuesday evening in a motorcycle crash in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, police confirm.

Fairhaven Police responded to the scene on U.S. Route 6 after 7:30 p.m. and found both victims on the ground after the bike struck a utility pole.

The operator, 30-year-old Steven Viera of Rochester was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 33-year-old John Letendre Jr. of Fairhaven, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe the crash was alcohol-related.

The investigation is ongoing.
