2 Moms Arrested, Accused of Being Drunk at Mall, Unable to Care for Children

Police at a mall parking lot in Salem, New Hampshire, say they arrested two women who appeared drunk and were "barely able to stand" to care for their babies, one of them lying in a puddle while holding her child above her head.

Police said the women admitted they consumed alcohol when they were found at the Mall at Rockingham Park on Monday evening. Both were charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Twenty-two-year-old Baylie Lecolst, of Salem, and 24-year-old Amber Giordano, of Hampstead, New Hampshire, were released on bail and are scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 31.

The infants were released to the custody of family members. It wasn't immediately known if the women had lawyers and phone numbers couldn't be found for them.
