2 Motorcyclists Injured in Crash

Two motorcyclists were hurt in a crash in Salem, New Hampshire.

Police in Salem, New Hampshire, say two motorcyclists were seriously injured in a crash Friday night.

Around 9 p.m., police responded to the crash involving two motorcycles and a pick-up truck on Lawrence Road. The operators of the motorcycles, Thomas Beaulieu and Ghislain Dumont, suffered serious injuries and were transported to Lawrence General Hospital. Beaulieu was later med-flighted to Beth Israel Hospital.

Initial investigation reveals the operator of the pick-up truck, James Manning, was traveling south on Lawrence Road when Beaulieu crossed into Manning's lane and struck his vehicle. Dumont, who was traveling behind Beaulieu, laid his motorcycle to the pavement.

The crash is under investigation. Alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors.
