Two restaurants in Rhode Island are taking a chance by eliminating tips and instead charging a 22-percent service fee.

Workers at Rosmarin at Hotel Providence as well as Vinya down Westminster Street will now make roughly $12 to $15 an hour, according to necn affiliate WJAR.

For the waitstaff and bartenders, this will mean a raise from the state tipped wage of $3.39.

The restaurants' owners say the restaurant won't be getting a cut of the fee and that it goes to a higher labor cost.
