2 Rescued From Challenging Crash Site

Around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, the Massachusetts State Police in Sturbridge responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 84. First responders discovered the vehicle positioned almost upright between trees.

Sturbridge Fire Department worked to free the trapped passenger, who was eventually transported by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center. The motorist was able to free herself from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
