2 Seriously Hurt in Motorcycle Crash

Two people were seriously hurt Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash in Surry, New Hampshire.

Police say Albert and Mary Miller, both 54, of Rindge, were thrown from the bike when Albert lost control on Route 12 near the Keene Landfill.

State troopers responded shortly before noon. Both victims were taken to Cheshire Medical Center with serious injuries before being airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

It is believed that Albert Miller was unable to react when a car slowed to turn into the landfill. Speed and alcohol are not thought to have been factors.

The crash caused Route 12 to close in the area for about two hours.

There was no immediate update on the victims' conditions.
