2 Years Later, Human Remains Found on Revere Beach ID'd

The human remains were found in April 2014

After more than two years of waiting, a family now has some closure about how their son disappeared.

Officials in Massachusetts say they've identified the human remains that washed up on Revere Beach in late April 2014.

DNA on the pants and boxer shorts, pictured above, recovered at the scene helped officials get the positive ID after a tipster gave them a possible name.

The victim's father was then tested and the DNA matched.

The person, whose name officials declined to publicly announce because no crime was committed, was a 31-year-old man with ties to Oklahoma and had been living in Cambridge.
