Bus Hits Overpass on Soldiers Field Road in Boston

UPDATE (8:36 p.m.) - Boston EMS reports 30 people are injured.

(NECN) - Boston Fire confirms a coach bus struck an overpass on Soldiers Field Road in Boston's Allston neighborhood.

According to Boston Fire spokesperson Steve MacDonald, the roof of a Calvary Coach bus was sheered off as it tried to go under the overpass near the Double Tree Hotel.

In a tweet, Boston Fire said the bus was coming from Harvard heading home to Pennsylvania and there were 42 people on board.

Boston EMS tweeted that the majority of patients at the scene have minor injuries, but there were still patients trapped in the vehicle.
