Several Teens Injured in Early Morning Car Accident in Auburn, Mass.

(NECN) - Police in Auburn, Mass. are investigating an accident that sent several teenagers to the hospital.

Officials learned of a two car accident on Route 395 southbound near Exit 5 in Auburn just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Tresa Sargendelli, 26, rear-ended a 2004 BMW driven by a 17-year-old female with four 18-year-old passengers, according to police. Sargendelli and one of the BMW passengers were trapped and had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life.

Four people involved in the accident were taken to UMass Memorial Hospital while the other two were brought to Hubbard Hospital. All people are said to have non life-threatening injuries. At this time, four of the six people have been released.

The teens were turning from a foam rave party in Worcester.

Officials don't believe alcohol was a factor.

There is no word if Sargendelli will face any charges.
