(NECN: Katelyn Tivnan) – So, what would you do if you found a bag of money, just sitting there with no one to claim it? It was a real-life dilemma facing a Webster, Mass. man.

He’s now winning praise for his actions.

Guy Leboeuf, an employee at Shaw’s in Webster for 13 years, found more than $8,000 in a shopping cart. He says he didn’t think twice about returning it to the lost and found.

It belonged to James Christian, who has been saving for close to a year. He thanked Leboeuf. He was shocked the money was returned with not a dollar missing.

Webster Police Chief Timothy Bent and the department also recognized Leboeuf for his honesty.

    Katelyn Tivnan has more.
