Online Stores Opening Shops in Cities

(NECN/NBC: Lynda Baquero) -  Adam Brenner is shopping for clothes.

"I only buy online when I really know what my size and cut is and this gave me an opportunity to come in and see the whole line, which is great!"

But there's a catch.

Adam can't purchase these clothes at a cash register..

He can only buy them if he goes online at bonobos.com

"You can order it right here and purchase it on computers, but I’m not that keen on it. At the end of the day, this is New York, I don't have a car. The fact that I don't have a car and don't have to carry clothes around all day is great," said Brenner.

Welcome to an increasingly popular retail trend, online businesses opening up brick and mortar locations.

Bonobos started five years ago online.

"But, other guys like to touch and feel their product before they try it on. So we opened what we call a guide shop, where you have a forty-five minute consulted experience with a guide who is an expert in both the fit and style" said Brian Wolff of Bonobos.

This guide shop is on West 25th Street in Manhattan - it's home to company headquarters too.

There are also guide shops in Boston, Chicago, Washington DC and San Francisco.
