Developments Made in Investigation Into Tamerlan Tsarnaev

(NECN) – There are developments on the investigation into the older brother allegedly behind the Boston Marathon bombings.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev died Friday after the Watertown, Mass. shootout.

On Monday, the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center says he twice interrupted preachers.

Once last November in a sermon which told Muslims it is appropriate to celebrate U.S. holidays like Thanksgiving or the Fourth of July, and once in January when a preacher praised Martin Luther King Jr.

Now investigators may be looking into the older Tsarnaev for another crime.

In September 2011, three people were found dead with their necks slit in a Waltham apartment. Tsarnaev was a friend of one of the victims.

The Middlesex D.A.'s Office says it will look at any new information that comes to light in that case in the wake of the marathon bombings.

Meanwhile, Tsarnaev's widow is not speaking publicly.

Katherine Russell Tsarnaev is staying with her parents in Rhode Island. Her lawyer says federal authorities want to speak to her and he's having discussions about how to proceed.
