NECN Reporter: 3 Letters Dropped Off at Beth Israel, One Addressed to Suspect

(NECN: Scot Yount) – Our NECN reporter Scot Yount is reporting new developments in the Boston bombing investigation.

Scot is at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been treated since he was captured in a boat last Friday.

Scot called into NECN to discuss the scene. He said there were two bomb squad trucks as well as bomb squad officers with bomb sniffing dogs.

Scot says apparently three letters were dropped off at the loading dock where the dumpsters are at the back of Beth Israel. One was addressed to the hospital, one was addressed to someone our NECN crews could not see and the third was addressed to Dzhokhar.

Scot says police took pictures of the letters and inspected them with the bomb sniffing dogs.

All of the letters were stamped with American flag stamps, according to Scot.

As for the suspect in the hospital, there’s a lot of increased security and activity. Scot says there are a number of reports saying the suspect may be moved as earlier as today (Thursday). He could be taken out by helicopter or armored caravan, Scot reports.
