Norden: ‘I Don't Understand How Somebody Could Do That to All Those Innocent People'

(NECN) - Paul Norden is leaving Spaulding Rehabilitation.

JP and Paul Norden, brothers from Stoneham, Mass., were both severely injured during the second blast at the Boston Marathon.

Each brother lost a limb, and their bodies were burned and pelted with shrapnel.

"I don't understand how somebody could do that to all those innocent people," said Liz Norden, mother of JP and Paul. Paul and his mother spoke to the media Thursday afternoon.

"I just think we have to let those two know, or the one that is still here, that we aren't going anywhere," said Liz Norden.

Liz says JP is expected to go home around May 24th.

Dhzokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are accused of setting off a pair of bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon April 15, killing three people and injuring more than 260 others.

Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with police days after the attack, while Dhzokhar was wounded and later captured in the boat.
