(NECN) - Kicking off Wednesday with opening statements and testimony, the trial of reputed mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger is expected to last all summer.
Michael Coyne, associate dean and professor of law at Massachusetts School of Law, joined NECN to weigh in on the first day.
"There was much more agreement than you'd expect between the two sides," he says, adding, "The government's case could best be described as if you're going to try the devil, you go to Hell to get the witnesses, and Whitey is in complete agreement that they've gone to Hell to get the witnesses against him here."
