UNH Mourns Loss of Student Who Died After Alleged ‘Molly' Overdose

(NECN: Leslie Gaydos) - The University of New Hampshire campus is mourning the loss of a student.

A junior died over the weekend after a drug overdose at a New York concert.

It's the latest in a rash of recent overdoses, allegedly involving the illegal drug “Molly”.

The latest incident happened at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Saturday.

Three men in their 20s were taken to the hospital after apparently overdosing.

Twenty-year-old Olivia Rotondo of Providence, R.I., and 23-year-old Jeffrey Russ of Rochester, N.Y. both died over the weekend.

The city says that the deaths appear to have been linked to MDMA, or ecstasy.

Students on campus reacted to the news of the deaths with shock.
