State Fire Marshal: Quincy, Mass. Fire Was Accidental

(NECN) - The fire that destroyed an historic masonic temple in Quincy, Mass. is being called accidental.

The state fire marshal's office told the Boston Globe sparks from men doing work on the temple's basement ignited insulation.

The fire heavily damaged the building, which was in the process of being sold.

Officials also say the temple, which was built in 1926, didn't have any sprinklers.
