2 Adults, 1 Child Struck by Teenage Driver in Boston

(NECN: Justin Michaels)  - An empty stroller, an upside down umbrella, and an infant’s cup lay on the ground. It’s all that's left at the scene after a pedestrian accident in Boston's South End Sunday.

Police have cited a teenager for the crash. The 17-year-old girl allegedly plowed into a family of three and hit a light pole before she stopped her SUV. The young driver stayed on scene to answer authorities’ questions.

One witness said, "Two people were shouting... the people that were hurt or shouting, in a few minutes there were some cop cars there so we didn't call 9-1-1."

It happened at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Dartmouth Street, an intersection that has seen pedestrian and car issues before.

One person said, “It just happened to be a year ago that I got hit at that same spot luckily he just hit my, he just ran over my foot."

At this point it's unclear what led to this most recent crash. Boston Police are investigating.

The mother and father are still in separate hospitals while the baby has been released from the hospital.
