Boston's Clayton Street Bridge Replaced Over Weekend

(NECN) - MBTA Red Line trains are running over Clayton Street in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood again Monday after the bridge was replaced over the weekend.

Service was suspended while crews took down the old train bridge and put a new one in its place.

The replacement bridge was pre-assembled on temporary supports at a staging area and simply rolled into place.

It was the first time the MBTA used this construction technique; the whole project took less than three days.
