ACA Supporters Nationwide Answer Health Care Reform Questions

(NECN/NBC News: Brian Mooar) - It was an exceptionally rough week for the president's health care plan. Supporters are trying to turn that around.

Getting the news out in person has become critical because of persistent problems with the Obamacare website.

Houston held a health care reform town hall to answer lingering questions and clear up confusion.

In Baltimore, there was an information table at a shopping center.

"There’s still a lot of questions people have. They're more comfortable in meeting people in their community to get help," said Brien Dulaney, the navigator supervisor for Baltimore County.

The officials in charge of the site say they've made measurable process and are fixing glitches every day.

The disastrous rollout is become a personal and public embarrassment to President Obama. He promised this past week that the problems will be fixed.

"I am confident that by the time we look back on this next year that people are going to say that this is working well and helping a lot of people," said the president.

President Obama has reached out to the big health insurance companies, hoping they will help him get the health care reform efforts on track, despite the rough rollout.
