(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, North Dartmouth, Mass.) - Prosecutors allege former New England Patriots Player Aaron Hernandez is using "coded messages" when talking to loved ones during jail-house phone calls.
Prosecutors say the messages are "directly relevant to the circumstances surrounding the murder of Odin Lloyd."
Hernandez has plead not guilty to that murder and is awaiting trial.
NECN has also learned Hernandez's defense team is now asking prosecutors to turn over several items.
Some of those items include a 14-page letter that Hernandez's "right hand man" Ernest Wallace allegedly wrote to Hernandez's cousin Tanya Singleton, all evidence from the 2012 Boston double homicide that Hernandez is being investigated in relation to, all the prosecutions biological and physical evidence, and information about where and how they were tested.
This new information comes as Singleton was released on bail. Singleton is accused of helping Wallace escape to Florida following the murder.
She's plead not guilty to criminal contempt and conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact to murder.

In the past, her defense attorney has stated, if she makes bail, she may live in Franklin, Massachusetts.
That's the same place where Hernandez rented what prosecutors referred to as a secret "flop house."
NECN stopped by to see if Singleton was staying there.
"I haven't heard a thing, haven't heard a thing," said next door neighbor Carole Bailey.
The only thing neighbors have noticed recently, two big trucks taking furniture out.
Bailey said they saw, "that all the furniture was removed. The furniture had been rented from some rental company."
However, Bailey says she's seen no sign of Singleton.
Court paperwork also indicates, while in jail, Hernandez has been visited by his fiancé Shayanna Jenkins, as well as Singleton.
