Former SNHU Budget Director to Be Sentenced on Felony Counts of Embezzlement

(NECN) - A former budget director at Southern New Hampshire University will be sentenced on felony counts of embezzlement for allegedly siphoning college funds to pay personal debts for over a decade.

Officials say Raymond Prouty waived indictment and will enter pleas later this month.

Authorities say one scheme ran from 1998 to January 2012.

Prouty allegedly made payments to sports officials at the college but that money was going into a dummy company he created and controlled.
