Maine Authorities Find Evidence of 2 Meth Labs During Raids

OXFORD, Maine (AP) - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says it's found evidence of two methamphetamine labs during a series of raids in Oxford County.

Drugs agents, state troopers and Oxford County deputies served search warrants at five houses in Oxford, Greenwood, Albany, Mason Township and Gilead on Friday.

Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland said the evidence of meth labs came from a pickup parked in Oxford and at a house in Gilead.

Last year, a record 20 meth labs were discovered in Maine. As of Friday afternoon, there had been no arrests in the latest investigation.
