Professional Dancer Who Lost Leg in Marathon Bombing to Dance Again

(NECN) - As we approach the one year mark since the Boston Marathon bombings, incredible progress is being made by some of the victims.

One survivor, Andrianne Haslet-Davis, is a professional dancer whose leg was partially amputated following the bombings.

Davis vowed to dance again and she is getting that chance do so Wednesday.

The Biomechatronics group at MIT designed Davis a special prosthetic leg.

Davis will return to the stage in Vancouver at a TED Conference.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences owned by a private non-profit. They are devoted to "ideas worth spreading."

Davis will rumba on her prosthetic leg.
