(NECN) - A Hull, Mass. man has been charged with second-offense drunken driving and driving to endanger after being arraigned Tuesday in Hingham District Court.
Police say George L. Beal, 51, was arrested early Sunday morning after a woman called 911 and said she had followed him to Hingham from Dedham after he sideswiped her car.
The woman called 911 and said she was on Route 3A in Hingham following a 2008 Infiniti G7 that had struck the side of her car and kept driving without stopping.
The woman is from Taunton and told police the driver swiped her car while both were driving on Route 128 in Dedham.
An officer spotted the car as it approached the rotary off Route 3 in Hingham and pulled it over, according to police. Authorities say there were minor scuffs on the victim's drive side and minor scuffs off the suspect's passenger side.
Beal was released on personal recognizance and is due back in court on June 2, 2014.
This is Beal's second OUI offense. Hingham Police say his first was back in 2005 in Fall River and was apprehended by Massachusetts State Police.
