Police Search for Couple Who Allegedly Scammed a Church

Police in Uxbridge, Massachusetts are searching for a couple accused of portraying themselves as members of Saint Mary's Church to receive money.

Joseph Viscusi, 57, allegedly told parishioners that he used his money to help with burial costs for an uncle in New York and that he needed more money for travel and hotel costs. Therefore, he needed money for his child's needs and for living expenses. Police are also looking for his alleged accomplice, 28-year-old Laura Ryan.

Police believe the couple was also involved in similar scams at churches in New Jersey.
