Conn. Man Charged in Fatal NY Hit and Run

(NECN) - A Connecticut man has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a bicyclist in upstate New York.

Authorities say 28-year-old Chiragkumar Patel hit 48-year-old Michael Mahoney while he was riding a bike on Electronics Parkway in Salina, N.Y. early Sunday morning.

Patel was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal incident without reporting.
