Mass. State Trooper, 2 Others Hurt in Car Accident

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a state trooper and two passengers in a car have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a collision in Springfield.

The Republican reports (http://bit.ly/1gVkEaH) that the accident happened at 2:25 a.m. Sunday at Carew and Dineen streets. State police investigators were on the scene taking measurements to determine what happened.

State Police Lt. Roger Tetreault says no further information was immediately available.

The trooper and the driver and passenger of the car were taken to Baystate Medical Center.
