Boston Tech Jam to Bring Brightest Minds, Best Inventions to the City

Thursday there is a great opportunity to see into the future with the "Boston Tech Jam," where innovative companies get to share their ideas.

One of the features is a shark-tank-style competition for the best new idea.

Mark Lorion, co-founder of Boston Tech Jam, and Sherry Handel, chief operating officer of "Energy Harvesters," who has one of the products competing for the top prize, joined us for more on the fun event.

Lorion said 3,000 will be going to Boston City Hall and 75 companies showing off their inventions.

He said the judges look for promising business model, the team’s ability to execute the idea, and a variety of other factors.
