More Than 30 Horses Saved From 4-Alarm Fire in Medway, Mass.

The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. at 87 Oakland St.

Firefighters say more than 30 horses were rescued from a 4-alarm blaze a barnin Medway, Massachusetts, early Friday morning.

The fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. at 87 Oakland St., according to Medway Police. The fire spread from the main building to two exposure building, one of which housed the horses.

Fire crews from Franklin, Holliston and Hopedale all responded to the scene.

Fire Chief Jeff Lynch said that water supply was an issue because of the distance from the street to the fire.

Two firefighters were treated for heat-related injuries. All of the horses survived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
