Massachusetts State Police say they arrested three suspects on multiple charges following a routine traffic stop.

On Saturday around 9:15 p.m., a trooper from the Sturbridge barracks stopped a car on Route 395 southbound in Oxford for having a tail light out.

Police say the motorist, 25-year-old Michael Geldart of Worcester, did not have a license on him. He was issued a citation for defective equipment and placed under arrest for possession of Class B narcotics after the trooper discovered drugs in the vehicle. The passenger in the back seat, identified as 34-year-old Jason Niemszyk of Oxford, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine after a large amount was located in his possession.

In addition, the passenger in the front seat, 24-year-old Alberto Escobar of Worcester, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt and was arrested for two outstanding warrants.

Police say all three men will be arraigned in Worcester District Court on Monday.
