3 Arrested for Disorderly Conduct on Scene of Stabbing

A 23-year-old victim was transported from Portland to Maine Medical Center with significant stab wounds

    South Portland, Maine, Police are investigating a serious stabbing that took place on Cannon Road early Saturday.

    Around 2:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the scene of a fight in progress.

    Evidence at the scene included a significant amount of blood and the recovery of a knife, leading officers to believe someone had been seriously injured. The 23-year-old victim was located and transported to Maine Medical Center with significant wounds from an edged weapon.

    Police say those on scene were not cooperative. Three people were arrested for disorderly conduct, including Sugelle Warsame, 24, Alex Julien, 24, and Steeve Alphonse, 21. They were transported to the Cumberland County Jail.

    The investigation is on-going.
