Three people were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries, after a Jeep was hit from behind by a second vehicle in East Providence, Rhode Island, causing it to roll over on to the sidewalk.
Fire officials say the accident happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver of the Jeep sustained life-threatening injuries.
One witness said the driver of the Jeep was thrown from his vehicle, which landed on top of him. Witnesses say they rushed to help lift the Jeep and pull the man free.
No names were released.
