3 People Face Charges After Undercover Police Operation Targeting Prostitution, Drugs

Three people are facing charges after an undercover police operation targeting prostitution and the sale of illegal drugs.

Police arrested Chelsea Gianotti-Bregy, Michael Bregy and Scott Sawyer at a hotel in Portsmouth on March 22.

Gianotti-Bregy of Somersworth faces charges of prostitution, sale of a controlled drug (crack/cocaine), possession of prescription drugs (Adderall), conspiracy to commit the sale of a controlled drug and breach of bail. She's being held on nail bail and will be arraigned on March 23 at the 10th Circuit Portsmouth Court.

Bregy, also of Somersworth, faces charges of possession of a controlled drug (crack/cocaine), criminal liability for conduct of another (accomplice to prostitution) and promoting prostitution. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on May 2 at the 10th Circuit Portsmouth Court.

Sawyer of Berwick, Maine, faces charges of sale of a controlled drug (crack/cocaine), conspiracy to commit the sale of a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug (crack/cocaine). He was ordered held on $2,000 cash bail and will be arraigned via video on March 23 at the 10th Circuit Portsmouth Court.
