3 Rescued After Canoeing Accident

Fire officials in Amherst, New Hampshire, say the victims were stranded in cold water.

Three people were rescued after a canoeing accident stranded them in a river in Amherst, New Hampshire, fire officials said Sunday.

According to Amherst Fire, the victims were rescued from the cold water in Souhegan River Sunday morning.

Amherst Fire thanked Amherst Police and EMS, as well as Milford Fire, in the rescue.

The patients were transported to area hospitals.
