A 3-year-old girl fell from a sixth floor window to her death at Hillcrest Village in Providence, Rhode Island, on Friday.
Providence Police say the girl's mother was in the apartment and was distracted, but told investigators she had told her daughter to get away from the window, WJAR reports.
The girl fell onto concrete six floors below.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
