4 Arrested in Heroin Trafficking in Maine

    Four people are arrested in connection with heroin trafficking throughout Kennebec County in Maine.

    According to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, three of the arrested are from Winthrop - Daniel Ackerly, 30, Michelle St. Laurent, 28 and Frederick Werner, 59.  Tyrone Lindsay, 20, is from Waterbury, Connecticut.

    Ackerly and Werner were arrested on Thursday following an investigation that included the undercover purchase of heroin that led agents to St. Laurent's home located on Mt. Pisgah Road in Winthrop.

    Both St. Laurent and Lindsay were present in the home when investigators located 76 grams of heroin, in addition to $2,400 in cash, suspected to be from the sale of the heroin.

    The street value of the heroin seized is $15,000.

    St. Laurent is charfed with Class A aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, with no bail allowed.

    Lindsay is charged with Class A aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, with bail set at $20,000 cash.

    Acklery was charged with Class B trafficking in Schedule W drugs, with bail set at $2,500 cash.

    Werner is charged with Class B trafficking in Schedule W drugs, with bail set at $2,500 unsecured.

    All four are scheduled to appear in court on September 22, 2016.
