5 Killed in 4 Separate Shootings in Boston Area

Three people were shot at a family get-together at 40 Hosmer St in Mattapan. One of the victims has died and the other two are in critical condition

It was a night of violence in the Boston area overnight Wednesday, as five people were killed in four separate shootings.

Three people were shot at a family get-together at 40 Hosmer St. in Mattapan. One of the victims, 21-year-old Darwin Adilas of Randolph, has died. The other two are in critical condition.

Two people were shot in the area of 12 Ernst St. in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood. Andrew Reed, 28, and Angel Oller, 20, both of Boston, died from their wounds.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh released a statement Thursday morning which said in part, "I am extremely saddened and disturbed by the violence that took place overnight in our community; this has to stop."

Two other shootings happened in surrounding communities.

Police in Everett confirm 21-year-old Ashlee Berryman was shot dead in the parking lot of the Braza Grill and Restaurant at 158 School St. The call came in to police around 1 Thursday morning. the Middlesex DA's Officer along with Mass. State Police are investigating.

In Cambridge, police say 31-year-old Rasaun Nichols was killed in a shooting in front of an MBTA station and that the suspect is still at large.
