7 Arrested in Vermont Drug Investigation

Vermont State Police say the multi-agency investigation began following the May 20 arrest of Terry Parson Jr.

Law enforcement officials in Vermont have arrested seven people in connection with a drug investigation that began last month.

Vermont State Police say the multi-agency investigation began following the May 20 arrest of Terry Parson Jr. and May 21 search warrant of 60 Cottage Lane in Barton, in which police say they found evidence of meth manufacturing.

Six additional people were arrested from then until early June.

Parson, 33, who was already incarcerated, faces seven counts of conspiracy, child cruelty and sale and possession of meth. He was held on $100,000 bail.

Amber Parson Jr., 27, of Bellow Falls, is facing drug and conspiracy charges. She was ordered held on $25,000 bail.

Danna Shover, 31, of Newport, is facing conspiracy and child cruelty charges. He was held on $25,000 bail.

Cory Carpenter, 35, of Newport, is facing drug and conspiracy charges. He is being held without bail.

Doris Gibney, 58, of Newport, is facing conspiracy and drug charges. She was held on $15,000 bail.

Damion Gage, 23, of Brownington, is facing drug and conspiracy charges. He was held on $75,000 bail.

Donald Sabens, III, 34, of Barton, is facing meth charges, as well as child cruelty and conspiracy charges. He was held on $75,000 bail.

No court dates are known and it is not clear if the suspects have attorneys.
